It's great to see that Italian and Modern Greek are still available for learning at the first school that I taught. In fact, I began teaching here. I was the first Italian teacher and also taught junior History. We formed Italian Parents and Greek Parents Committees so that they could contribute to the life of the School using their own language at meetings. I used to translate pages and pages of notes to parents written by the Principal. These two Committees worked very hard for the school for many years. Most of the children of the school were from these two ethnic groups at the time... But we all stood up in the courtyard respectfully to the sounds of God Save the Queen as we assembled there every Monday morning.
